Backroads Family Farm Market is hosting its inaugural Makers on Acres on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will feature 11 artisans and three food trucks as well as a kids’ (temporary) tattoo shop and a DIY natural (natural fibres only) indigo clothing dying vat by SAIGE AND SKYE.
“We have learned that markets are a key way to help small businesses flourish,” said Danielle and Alicia Guichon on their Facebook page. “The welcoming and collaborative atmosphere of markets help to form so many connections and to build a community of creative and hard-working artists, merchants, chefs, bakers, farmers and other artisans. For these reasons we have decided to use our space at Backroads Market to start a new tradition.
“Through these markets, we hope to foster an atmosphere of creativity and community to help to support local talent/businesses grow and thrive.”
Backroads Family Farm Market is located at 2757 52nd St., Ladner.
