Food on the Corner is a Tsawwassen-based volunteer society whose vision is to serve the needy, hungry, homeless population of Vancouver's Downtown East Side, and have been doing this every Saturday for more than 35 years. Pneuma Church is a Ladner community church whose vision, among other things, is to reach out and impact the community at large. Recently Pneuma's vacation bible school, afforded the opportunity to almost 100 young boys and girls, to assemble more than 420 ‘Manna Bags’ and gathered 150 extra bottles of water (each Ziplock manna bag contains one bottle of water, one Granola or similar nutritional bar and one bag of chips). These were picked up by Food on the Corner, and will be disbursed by Food on The Corner in the weeks ahead to their homeless friends downtown.
