There will be a pancake breakfast on Father's Day once again at Centennial Beach.

Dads will be honoured on Father’s Day at a special Sunday in the Park pancake breakfast jointly hosted by the volunteers of Boundary Bay Park Association and Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club.

Everyone is invited to come out and honour Dad or any other paternal person who plays an important role in their life. The pancake breakfast is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to noon in the picnic area at Centennial Beach.

A breakfast of two pancakes and two sausages for adults and children over 13 years of age is $6 and a breakfast of one pancake and one sausage for children under 13 years is $3. Coffee, tea and juice will be available.

Music from The Karmichaels will provide entertainment while interesting displays will be set up featuring the male of the many species of bird and animal life found in Boundary Bay Regional Park.

The event will proceed rain or shine thanks to the picnic shelters available at Centennial Beach, however it is hoped the sun will be shining in the usual South Delta way.

Frank Rogers, event chairman for the Boundary Bay Park Association, commented how much he enjoys on this day the well used statement: “A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed and yet one of the most very valuable assets in our society.”
