The South Delta Garden Club’s award-winning garden tour is back and better than ever.

The club has organized a new tour of gardens in South Delta on Sunday, June 23 that has a variety of stops so there is something of interest to all gardeners.

The self-guided tour will feature everything from estate-sized vistas under mature cedars to productive potagers in seaside corners. There will be woodland ponds and serene terraces inserted into suburban-sized lots furnished with wonderful plant collections, artfully tamed sloping gardens and a private hideaway created for a golf course gem.

In addition, West Coast Seeds has offered ticket holders 15-minute guided tours of its growing facility.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 10 for $15. They’re available at Harris Nurseryland, Sunnyside Nurseries and West Coast Seeds.

On Saturday, May 11, tickets will be sold in Ladner at Save-On-Foods.

South Delta Garden Club vice president Heather Fayers said proceeds from the tour are used to care for several public gardens in the community, including the memorial garden at Delta Secondary.
