Are you looking for a great way to improve your child’s reading skills in a safe, fun and friendly environment? Ladner Pioneer Library’s Reading Buddies program pairs elementary children up to Grade 3 with high school volunteers for 45 minutes of reading practice each Thursday. The six-week program begins Thursday, April 11 at 3:45 p.m. and runs until Thursday, May 16. Registration is required.


The Life Binders Workshop offers a solution for being prepared for the logistics of dying. On Friday, April 12, join life coach and counsellor Lara McIntyre at the Ladner Pioneer Library from 10:30 a.m. to noon or at the Tsawwassen Library from 1 to 2:30 p.m. to learn how to create a place for all the important information that makes up your life so your loved ones can complete your death. Discover what you need to leave behind so they can also fulfill your wishes.

Love to dance? There will be dances at KinVillage Community Centre in Tsawwassen every Friday night (8 to 10:30 p.m.) and Sunday afternoon (1 to 3:30 p.m.). Delta Deas Rowing Club has published its “Learn to Row” schedule for spring and summer 2019. All programs take place at Deas Island Park. Spring session of Beginner Basics (registered program) starts Friday, April 5 from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Use your mind and body while learning easy, low-impact routines to a variety of music. No experience necessary and two left feet are always welcome.


Line Dancing with Susana, Latin and ballroom-style classes, are offered at KinVillage Community Centre in Tsawwassen. Classes are at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and 9 a.m. on Fridays for beginners. No partner required.
