Ambassadors-Tsawwassen Mills Toastmasters, an award-winning Toastmasters club, will be hosting a table at the Thursday, July 4 Delta Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business: Cocktails and Conversation at Harris Barn (4140 Arthur Dr.) from 5 to 7:15 p.m. Drop by the table to learn how Toastmasters can benefit you and your organization. During the summer months, the club co-hosts meetings with the Deltones Toastmasters Club. Build up your tents and your camping experience at a Learn-to Camp Family Program. Join Parks Canada’s Learn-to Camp team to discover the basics of campsite set-up on Friday, July 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. at George Mackie Library. Registration is required.
Experience virtual reality at the Tsawwassen Library on Thursday, July 11 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. VR is an immersive computer-generated, three-dimensional interactive environment. Wearing goggles, headphones and holding motion controllers, participants will be able to move freely around 10x10 space and try out a mix of virtual games as well as educational experiences. It is a drop-in program and no registration is necessary.
Parkinson’s support group meeting on Monday, July 15 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at KinVillage in Tsawwassen. The group is for people living with Parkinson's and/or the people who care for them. For more information call Gloria at 604-948-0156.

All Saints Anglican Church in Ladner hosts a free monthly community meal at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23.
Attended a suicide bereavement support group and want to connect with others with similar experiences on an ongoing or occasional basis? Then join the Centre for Supportive Care’s drop-in, free Suicide Bereavement Alumni Group. Open to all communities. No commitment to attend every month. Cyclists who want to ride with others for fun and fitness can meet in the Ladner Pioneer Library parking lot Tuesdays and Thursdays weather permitting. Delta Deas Rowing Club has published its “Learn to Row” schedule for summer 2019. All programs take place at Deas Island Regional Park in Delta. Rowing is a “sport for life” and the club offers programs for high school students as well as adults from 18 to 88 years of age. The Tsawwassen Order of Old Bastards (TOOBs) has been quietly helping many South Delta groups and individuals since 1984. The club's fundraising is done through food services at community events such as the Ladner Bandfest and the Tsawwassen Sun Festival. Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue Station 8 Delta is looking for men and women to join the all-volunteer group dedicated to saving lives on the waters around Delta. Delta Hospice Society offers a Drop-In Relaxation Circle, led by a music therapist, for those living with cancer or serious illness, as well as their family members and friends, every Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Centre for Supportive Care, 4631 Clarence Taylor Cres., Ladner. Program is complimentary.

McKee’s Country BBQ will be held on Saturday, July 13 from 4 to 9 p.m. There will be entertainment, burgers, salads and dessert, and a cash bar. Members are $15, non-members $17. Tickets on sale June 10.
Happy Hour at KinVillage Community Centre in Tsawwassen will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 26. There will be free entertainment. Grab a few friends or come on your own to the first of many KV Happy Hours. Socialize, enjoy some appies, listen and/or dance to music and wind down from the week.

If you love music and have a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument, then join Loades of Music Concert Band. Share the joy of making music with other adult musicians.
