Delta Gymnastics Society is looking for people passionate about the development of sport to add to its board of directors.
“Delta Gymnastics offers a positive, fun and inspiring environment to develop physical and cognitive skills, teamwork, self-confidence, respect and discipline,” said board chair Greg Miller. “In 1975, Delta Gymnastics began as a local community program and has grown into a world-class facility. This growth has facilitated the need to find great people to join the board of directors to continue our mission and realize our vision.”
The society is looking for people who have a broad set of life experiences, want to improve sport development through gymnastics and are committed to supporting athletes.
“We have a diverse group of people on our board, including parents of various programs as well as community people that believe in gymnastics as the foundation to sport development,” added Miller. “At the moment we are giving special attention to those with accounting and fundraising skills to add to the current skill set of the board.”
Delta Gymnastics’ vision is to be recognized in Delta as a leader promoting lifelong participation in physical activity and its mission is to enable people to have the confidence and competence to live active, healthy lifestyles by participating in gymnastics activities and sport.
