Delta MP Carla Qualtrough was the special guest of BC & Alberta Guide Dogs last Friday for a luncheon to congratulate the Minister of Public Services, Procurement and Accessibility, for her efforts to advance the rights of persons with disabilities with the passing of the Accessible Canada Act. The Act will help guide the future of accessibility in Canada and have a great impact on the people that BC & Alberta Guide Dogs endeavours to serve. Its vision to eliminate barriers and ensure greater opportunities for Canadians with disabilities aligns with BC & Alberta Guide Dogs’ mission to enable safety, access and inclusion for individuals who are blind/visually-impaired, children with profound autism, and military and RCMP Veterans living with Post-Traumatic Stress.
