Delta's mayor and fire chief receive first poppies of campaign

Ladner Legion members Tom Easton, Gerry Bramhill, Frank Taylor and Russell Ford were on hand at Delta City Hall recently to present Mayor George Harvie and Delta fire Chief Paul Schofield with the first poppy to mark the start of the annual Poppy Campaign. “A big thank you to Ladner Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for coming out to spend some time with us today,” said Harvie. “This Remembrance Day, let’s make sure we remember the men and women who have given their lives in service to our country.”
