Explore Ethiopia with David and Diane Reesor at an upcoming Delta Nature free presentation.

The Nature & Culture of the Omo Valley and the Highlands of Ethiopia will be presented on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Benediction Lutheran Church in Tsawwassen.

The Reesors will introduce the audience to ancient underground churches, mystics and monks who guard holy places, Simian wolves, Gelada baboons, Nyala deer and the Omo people, who live in grass huts beside crocodile-infested rivers.

Having traveled the globe for decades, the Reesors are not only experts in navigating the world, but they have taken astonishing photos along the way, capturing many beautiful moments.

An award-winning photographer, David co-authored a book, Predator – Life and Death in the African Bush, with African safari guide Mark Ross. David has immense patience and can remain in place for long periods of time to capture breathtaking shots of birds and animals.

Having lived in remote villages in Dominica and Nunavut, Diane really appreciates the local people, how they live their everyday lives, their traditions, festivals and ceremonies. After meeting David, travelling and photography became an integral part of their lives.

All ages are welcome at the presentation. For more information, contact Delta Nature president Tom Bearss at [email protected].
