When the Reach Child and Youth Development Society relocated to the new Lois E. Jackson Kinsmen Centre for Children earlier this year, its social enterprise, FINDS Children’s Exchange, moved in too.

Now FINDS is marking its fifth anniversary this month. FINDS has been offering families the opportunity to drop off or pick up children’s clothing, baby supplies, books, toys, puzzles and games and supplies a wide variety of gently used items to the community.

Founder and volunteer manager Marcia McCafferty shared her delight at reaching the five-year mark, saying, “I feel so blessed to be part of our wonderfully generous community.”

Like all social enterprises, FINDS couldn’t have achieved the milestone without dedicated volunteers. From opening the store, assisting customers to sorting donations, volunteers make it possible to have FINDS open Tuesday to Saturday with new merchandise on the shelf every day. All proceeds from FINDS support children in Reach programs.
