Accessing health-related community services is now easier thanks to Fraser Health's new toll-free Home Health Service Line.
"Customer service is the number one goal of our new Service Line and we have created new processes to improve the quality of our service and to make it easier for the public to access the services they need," said Carl Meadows director, clinical programs, home
health, Fraser Health.
Individuals who require information about services for themselves or family members regardless of where they live in the Fraser Health region, can call a toll-free number: 1-855-412-2121, seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to speak with trained staff who can provide on-the-spot service in multiple languages.
Often, people ask themselves: "Can Mom stay home safely by herself?"
"Who will help Dad with his personal care when I'm at work?" "I no longer think I can live at home alone. I think I need some help, but what is available?" If you, or anyone you know, are asking these types of questions call the Home Health Service Line.
A trained staff member will help identify your healthrelated needs and will refer you to the services you require or arrange for a clinic or home visit.
Home Health services include:
Home Support (bathing/grooming/toileting/feeding)
In-home health care
Nursing clinics in all communities
Day programs for seniors
Services to give caregivers a break Current Home Health clients can continue to call their local Home Health office for assistance.
