Although some folks were initially uncertain about a tasting event held in a mall, attendees reported having an entertaining evening at the first Mingler at the Mills.

Over 100 guests availed themselves of the chance to socialize, listen to live jazz and try local craft beers, wines and spirits paired with Milestones appetizers and desserts at Tsawwassen Mills promotional court.

In addition, the event raised $5,000 to benefit children with special needs at Reach Child and Youth Development Society.

“I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Mingler at the Mills,” said Reach development manager Kristin Bibbs. “It is our generous sponsors, amazing volunteers and guests in attendance who made the event the fun, vibrant and successful night that it was.”

As well as Tsawwassen Mills and Milestones, sponsors included Four Winds, Steamworks and Parallel 49 breweries, Indigenous World Winery, Christopher Stewart Wine & Spirits, Goodridge & Williams Distillers, Wellbrook Winery and Rocky Mountain Chocolates. Bass Pro Shops donated a paddleboard in a well-received raffle.

An evening highlight featured Reach Foundation directors modelling Saks 5th Avenue fashions to the delight of the crowd.
