Members from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #61 visited Delta Hospital to see first-hand the priority equipment they recently helped fund.

Over the past 25 years, the Ladner Legion has donated over $200,000 towards priority equipment needs at Delta Hospital. Their most recent gift of $16,000 went towards purchasing a mobilizing ceiling lift for the hospital’s busy medical unit. Executive members from the Ladner Legion met with staff from Delta Hospital and the foundation to see the ceiling lift and learn more about how it helps patients regain balance, strength and mobility that has been lost due to strokes, injuries and other medical conditions.

Branch #61 president Gerry Bramhill commented that the group was very impressed with the capabilities of the ceiling lift and had gained a real appreciation of how this piece of equipment will make a difference in peoples’ lives.

“Our membership is very proud to have helped financially support this new technology initiative and look forward to our next joint project,” he said.
