The Canadian Lifeboat Institution recognized Dave Deckert, general manager of Sunbury Cedar, at its Christmas dinner at Beach Grove Golf Club last Friday. Sunbury Cedar donated a small office building that was erected in Ladner Harbour Park beside the lifeboat station by volunteers from Tsawwassen Rotary Club and Canadian Lifeboat Institution. Taking part in the presentation are (from left) Canadian Lifeboat Institution president Robert McIlwaine, lifeboat commander John Horton and Deckert.
