The Brethren of Ancient Light Lodge 88 are pleased to work with Delta School District to award its inaugural bursary of $1,000 to Cassandra Strutt of Delta Secondary. Glenn Kirkwood, Past Master & Chair of the Bursary Committee presented the bursary during the grad ceremony in late June. Freemasonry is the oldest and largest fraternal order that has a strong tradition of community leadership and participation in many countries around the world. The lodge recognized the value of youth who have contributed to our community, demonstrating leadership by volunteering and mentoring other youth. Strutt has shown leadership as part of the Delta Youth Advisory Council, Big Buddies, student government, Girl Guides Canada and the Boys and Girls Club of South Coast. The lodge wishes Cassandra the best in her future studies to become a teacher and educator that will continue to benefit future generations.
