Owen Hill Davie is pictured with his Grade 2 classmates from Holly Elementary on Thursday, Feb. 27 as the East Ladner school participated in the second annual Canuck Place Cookie Day. More than $3,200 was raised through cookie sales, donations at the school and online through a fundraising page set up by Owen’s mom, Stephanie. Owen continues to deal with a host of medical issues, including being unable to sit up, walk or stand due to low muscle tone, airway problems and feeding difficulties. He is also non-verbal. Canuck Place has been a vital place of help and well-being for Owen and his whole family for the past two years.
