Seniors can learn about available services at North Delta event

Delta seniors are invited to learn about services available for them from all levels of government at a town hall event Friday.

Hosted by the Delta Elders committee, there will be roundtable sessions on:

• Guidance in completing government forms

• Home improvement assistance programs

• Home care

• Counseling and support services

• Fraud and elder abuse

The session is a non-partisan event for the purpose of educating seniors on services and benefits available to them through government and community agents.

The event is set for Friday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at New Era Banquet Hall, 9385-120th St., Delta.

Admission is free.

Delta MP Carla Qualtrough and North Delta MLA Ravi Kahlon will welcome seniors to the event.
