Lawn bowling season is underway in South Delta as both the Tsawwassen and Ladner clubs are out on the greens. The Tsawwassen Lawn Bowling Club held an open house earlier this month to introduce prospective new members to the sport and will be holding its opening day, complete with ceremonial bowl by a member of Delta council, tomorrow. Delta South MLA Vicki Huntington threw the first bowl, in perfect form, to begin the season at the Ladner Lawn Bowling Club on Sunday, April 13. Over 50 people attended opening day, enjoying each other’s company as well as the sunshine. Lessons for beginners are available now. Contact Barb Sutton at 604-940-8243.
