Celebrating 75 years is a big deal so the Ladner Fishermen’s Cooperative Association and Ladner Fishermen’s Hall are reaching out to the citizens of Delta for a helping hand.
They have some photographs from the good old days, but know there are a lot more photos waiting to be rediscovered and shared with the good citizens of Delta and the population at large.
To acquire as many historical photos as may be possible, a photo contest is being launched to build an image bank that says...“We are fisher folk who lived and breathed fishing in Delta. We helped create the foundation on which Delta was built, to complement and strengthen the efforts of our farming brothers and sisters.”
Details for the Fish Hall 75th Photo Contest can be found at www.LFCA.ca/fishhall75. Organizers are asking the public to dig into photo albums that have these visual nuggets waiting to be shared.
