Once a year, employees of Ivanhoe Cambridge are invited to volunteer in teams to support a community organization in their respective region. This initiative, which is in keeping with their corporate social responsibility commitment, is called Giving Back Day.

It is a worldwide event, with employees in all participating regions mobilizing to ‘make a difference’ in their communities.

This year, on Friday, Sept. 28, joining hundreds of other Ivanhoé Cambridge employees, Tsawwassen Mills volunteered at Earthwise Society to plant, maintain, and harvest the garden and farm.

Earthwise Society is a not-for-profit, charitable organization cultivating sustainable communities through environmental education and stewardship.

“Our involvement during this day helps us make a difference in our communities and is part of a range of other employee engagement programs organized by the company,” said Julia Dow, general manager, Tsawwassen Mills.
