Toys for Tunes raises $3,200 for Deltassist

The Tsawwassen Legion recently presented Deltassist with a cheque for $3,200, proceeds from the Toys for Tunes fundraiser held Nov. 30. Taking part in the cheque presentation were (from left) Danny Groening, Tony Dannhauer, Karen Wiggans, Tony Zacharias and Bill Belsey. This was all made possible through the hard work of those volunteers and a community of donors. Forty donations were provided for the event’s silent auction and over 50 toys were collected at the door that evening. Three local bands -- My Friend’s Band, Rockline and Rhythm Rush -- entertained the crowd from 7 p.m. to just past midnight. Plans have already started for next year’s event.
