Get ready to raise your glass to the return of Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW) in 2020. The popular celebration of all things beer (with some cider for good measure) has just revealed details about next year’s fest, with some big changes in store.

Now in its 11th year, the festival has grown and shifted over its run — most notably expanding its reach with more days and more participating breweries. For 2020, VCBW will keep growing and they’re moving locations, too.

The big draw event at VCBW is always the closer, which is the multi-day tasting festival that for the past few years was at the PNE. This time around, VCBW’s tasting fest will cap off the previous 10-day city-wide celebration of craft beer with a three-day event at a new location: Concord Community Park in Vancouver’s False Creek.

There will be four tasting sessions from which to choose, and you can forget all about those tokens: VCBW will be priced inclusively. The tasting fest will take place on June 5, 6 and 7.

“Moving the VCBW Festival to Concord Community Park allows for easier access by transit,” explains Vancouver Craft Beer Week Festival Director, Leah Heneghan in a media release. “We are excited to be located in the middle of the city, at the waterfront, within walking distance of three SkyTrain stations and some great Vancouver breweries.”

While we might just be bundling up to face the season’s first chill, now is a good time to think about those sunny beer-sipping days to come in June. VCBW’s specially-priced early bird tickets go on sale at noon on Sun. Dec. 1, with the holiday pre-sales wrapping up at midnight on Weds. Dec. 31.

This year, early bird all-inclusive tickets are priced at $59 (regularly priced at $69). No more weekend passes, VIP tickets, tokens or other packages to choose from – just one price for one ticket for each of the four sessions available.
