Delta Mayor George Harvie is introducing a new Mayor for a Day contest where Delta’s young citizens (students in grades 5 to 7) will have the unique opportunity to get involved in local government and spend time with Harvie for the day.
Delta students in grades 5 to 7 are invited to apply. See delta.ca for the contest entry form.
The contest deadline is May 15. Completed entry forms are to be submitted by email to mayorharvie@delta.ca.
Once the contest winners have been selected, the Mayor’s Office will be in contact with the winners to schedule the Mayor for a Day, which will include: a courtesy shuttle pick up at your school, lunch with Mayor Harvie, and a tour of the Mayor’s office where you will learn more about the community you live in.
