Larry Amstutz author
Aspiring to be a radio DJ at 12-years-old; at 19 Delta’s Larry Amstutz realized his dream only to leave broadcasting a relatively short time later.

Released this summer by local author Larry Amstutz, his personal memoir, Finding My Groove, has garnered great reviews.

He has also since penned a song: Chasing Dreams using lyrics and music as another medium to share the essence of his message.

Amstutz will be at Black Bond Books in Ladner on Sunday, Nov. 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. to discuss his book and sign copies.

Finding My Groove, published by Friesen Press, takes you on a journey across Canada and across time. People yearn to fulfill their dreams and yet do not give themselves permission to do so. Through a conversational style and personal stories, the author demonstrates that it is okay to chase that dream; giving yourself permission to try and fail, to live and learn, and to love, be heartbroken and love again.

Amstutz grew up in a Vancouver Island logging camp and in small towns on the Island; worked in forestry, mining, and other resource sector jobs; and studied and worked in radio broadcasting, his childhood dream career. Now married and retired, the author lives in Tsawwassen, BC with his wife Trisha, their terrier Gus, and a collection of acoustic guitars and his prized Vintage 60’s Fender Telecaster.

Finding My Groove is available for order from most major online book retailers including the Friesen Press Bookstore and Amazon. The eBook is available for Kindle, iBooks, Kobo, Nook, and GooglePlay.
