Author Yves Engler and transportation activist Eric Doherty will be doing an event looking at transportation and our dependence on cars at the Ladner Pioneer Library Sunday, March 25 at 2 p.m. Montreal author Engler will be talking on his book "Stop Signs: Cars & Capitalism" which describes his road trip across the U.S. using transit, trains etc. but no cars. Ovation Performance Series announces the last concert of the season as an afternoon concert on Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at Cedar Park Church (5300-44th Ave., Ladner), featuring the talented vocal quartet, The K Sisters with lively swing & early jazz music of the '30s, '40s, and '50s including selections from the Andrew Sisters and Manhattan Transfer & more!
