The ‘Wander Inn Café’ and Freshwave Ministries is thrilled to be hosting their Hearts of Hope fundraiser again.

The outdoor event, set for Saturday, Aug. 14, is in support of Freshwave Ministries.

Come to the Lighthouse Church back yard (5545 Ladner Trunk Road) from 1 to 5 p.m. for the event. A suggested $20 entrance donation covers concession/entertainment and will greatly help the organization continue the work they do.

Enjoy the afternoon as you bid on fabulous silent auction items, buy treasures from the ‘new-to-you’ table, savor delicious goodies and beverages from the concession, learn about Freshwave Ministries at the information table, and enjoy a great music concert featuring Christine Magee, Ranj Singh, Cut n’ Dried Duo (David Joy/Don Anderson) and The Karmichaels’ band (Dave Karmazyn, Maribel Karmazyn, Mike Hurworth, Russil Alden, Rich Mayer and Gavin Strang).
Magee delights her audience with genres from soul, jazz and gospel to pop/rock.

As event MC, she will get the show going and lead in with original and cover tunes.

Singh makes music with a distinct Indian-Western flair, which shows his love for rock music and heartfelt lyrics. He refers to his unique blend of music as ‘Indo-Canadian Folk’.

The Cut n’ Dried Duo discovered, while working in the same hair salon, they both played guitar and sang. Realizing that their musical repertoire was much the same, they began making music together and, thus, the duo was born.

Folk-country rock group and South Delta’s own The Karmichaels, will entertain you with original and cover songs that include country rock, country, soft rock and Celtic folk.

All COVID-19 health and safety protocols are in effect, so please practice social distancing and wear your mask.

Freshwave Ministries, a South Delta-based organization, has been serving the marginalized persons in Vancouver every Monday evening since 2010.
