The Delta Literary Arts Society (DLAS) is hosting a free show for all ages this Saturday, Dec. 10 as they present Suki’s Reindeer Wish at the North Delta Centre for the Arts.

“We’ve made something fun, quirky, and a little bit silly with forest animals and a magical snowflake,” says Kim Lawton, local writer and author of Suki’s Reindeer Wish. “This heartwarming story is meant to encourage children to read and discover the world around them.”

Families will have an opportunity to make a reindeer craft and get a winter portrait taken on set before the holiday-themed show begins.

“When you enter the theatre, relax in the Narrator’s living room as you meet Suki and all her wildlife friends in this touching tale of adventure, discovery, and friend-making,” said Angela Rebrec, president of DLAS. “There will be lots of giggles and reindeer candy canes for everyone too!”

Doors open at 1 p.m. for craft-making and photos. The show starts at 2.

Entrance by donation at the door. Seating is limited and can be reserved on Eventbrite at this link.

DLAS has a mandate to bring a love of writing and literature to the community through events, workshops, and advocacy.

Membership in the society is open to everyone and costs $25 for the year
