This year, all members are being encouraged to participate in International Quilting Day by hanging quilts outside their homes on Saturday, March 20. Everyone is invited into local neighbourhoods to look for quilts displayed from eaves, deck railings and fences.

Even the global COVID-19 pandemic can't stop the Boundary Bay Quilters Guild from meeting, sharing and learning.

Although their last in-person meeting was in February 2020, the Guild held safe, social distanced events in the summer and switched to Zoom meetings last September.

They continue to have regular monthly meetings, hosting an impressive list of guest speakers as well as having workshops and many sewing days on Zoom, as well.

The Guild had planned to hold their bi-annual quilt show in May this year, but the event had to be postponed until 2022.

This year, all members are being encouraged to participate in International Quilting Day by hanging quilts outside their homes on Saturday, March 20. Everyone is invited into local neighbourhoods to look for quilts displayed from eaves, deck railings and fences.
