NBC's Debris, a science fiction television series set to air in 2021, is filming its pilot episode in Ladner Village this week. Shooting is expected to wrap-up on Tuesday.

Extraterrestrial activity in Ladner is being investigated by secret service operatives... from NBC’s new science fiction television series ‘Debris’.

Filming in the Ladner Village on Monday, Nov. 16, the show is centered around a pair of agents from two different continents who must work together to investigate wreckage from an alien spacecraft that is affecting humankind in mysterious ways.

Behind the lens was Riann Steele playing Finola Jones, a MI6 operative. Steele was joined by Jonathan Tucker portraying Bryan Beneventi, a CIA operative.

Set to air on NBC in the US, the series will be a mid-season entry in the 2020–21 television line-up. The majority of filming for the pilot episode was able to be completed before production was suspended across the United States due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Filming for the remainder of the first season began earlier this month and is scheduled to conclude in April.
