Joshua Barrett, Mackenzie Cameron, Ashton Ellis, Conor Omand, Linda Rainbow and Brent McNeil were among 16 province-wide to receive the scholarships.

They are awarded annually to secondary and postsecondary students who are Envision members and have demonstrated outstanding scholastic ability combined with exceptional community service.

. Joshua Barrett is a volunteer with organizations such as Young Life of Canada, the North Delta Youth Soccer Club and the North Delta Evangelical Free Church and also tutors students throughout the year. He has chosen to pursue a bachelor of applied sciences degree with a focus on engineering from Simon Fraser University.

. Mackenzie Cameron has been volunteering with children since the age of 10. Be it working at her church or volunteering with the local charity To Write Love on Her Arms, she is always ready to lend a hand. . Conor Omand has dedicated much of his free time to giving back to the student community at UBC. Through groups such as the Physics Society, the Astronomy Club and the Gage Residence Association, he is helping younger students feel more at home and comfortable at university. He is returning to UBC for his third year, studying honours chemical physics.

. Linda Rainbow shows exceptional leadership skills through her volunteer work with Scouts Canada and B.C. Guide Dog Services and has completed over 2,600 hours of volunteer time in the last two years alone. She looks forward to studying business management through Athabasca University.
