A group of Southpointe Academy students is selling bookmarks to benefit a good cause.

The students have designed and created handmade bookmarks to sell by donation with proceeds going to the Delta Hospice Society.

The theme of the bookmarks is the Butterfly Effect, chosen from the logo used by the Delta Hospice Society and many other hospice societies around the world.

The butterfly symbolizes the transition between life and death. The caterpillar forms its cocoon and prepares to leave life as it knows it, to become a lovely butterfly.

The bookmarks are available at the Harold & Veronica Savage Centre for Supportive Care, 4631 Clarence Taylor Cres., Ladner, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
