The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen has donated $1,014, proceeds from its concession stand at the Sept. 3 outdoor movie night, to the Reach Child and Youth Development Society.

The money will go to the society's campaign to build a 20,000-square-foot centre in Ladner.

The movie night, organized by Tsawwassen Business Improvement Association, was a great opportunity for Rotarians to sell hotdogs and popcorn to the hundreds that attended the popular movie event, sponsored by Vancity Savings Credit Union.

"It was a terrific chance for our group to contribute to Reach by simply volunteering our time for a few hours that night," said Rotary member Neil Corbett. "We have an amazing club and are so happy to support an organization such as Reach that gives children the opportunities they truly deserve."

Reach is raising $4 million to build a communitybased child development centre on the edge of Memorial Park. Building in the heart of the community will remove access barriers, give more children the critical services they need and link families to other community services.
