Vancouver dance group GRVMNT is off to the finale of Canada’s Got Talent after an electric performance on Tuesday night's semi -final episode.

GRVMNT is made up of Tsawwassen’s Emily and Eric Sun as well as other dancers from the Richmond area.

The 17-member GRVMNT landed a spot in the semi-finals after receiving the golden buzzer from judge Lilly Singh during the March 29th episode of the show.

GRVMNT opened up Tuesday’s show with an epic performance that drew high praise from all the judges.

“I’m so happy you’re my Golden Buzzer,” said Singh as she threw a little shade at fellow judge Howie Mandel.  “You should be so, so proud. You did some stunts and slips that were so well timed. Your facial expressions – you nailed them.

“You are the definition of preparation meets opportunity. You tore the roof off the place.”

Guest judge Jason Priestley said they “absolutely crushed it” praising the team for coming up with "unbelievable dance moves."

Mandel said at the start of the show he was asked what he was looking for out of the semifinalists.

“This is what I was looking for tonight,” he said. “Not one mistake.”

Following the performances from all of the nine acts, the judges panel sent GRVMNT and Toronto comedian Courtney Gilmour into the finals on May 17.

The remaining acts will learn their fate through a Canada-wide vote. Only two of the remaining seven teams will move onto the finals.

The results will be revealed next week during the May 10th episode, which will also feature the second semi-final round of nine performances.
