Robbin Whitbread will be doing taxes for lowincome individuals and families starting next week at the Ladner Pioneer Library.

Whitbread, a longtime resident of Ladner, is an approved Canada Revenue Agency Community Volunteer Income Tax Program volunteer.

She has worked as a CVITP volunteer at Deltassist and decided several years ago to coordinate her own program at the Ladner Pioneer Library. As a volunteer trained by the Canada Revenue Agency, she will help you complete your basic income tax and benefit returns according to the CRA guidelines at no charge.

"It's my way of volunteering in the community and my way of giving back. I happen to love doing taxes," Whitbread said.

The CRA guidelines for CVITP limits are: $25,000 or less annual income for individuals, $35,000 for couples or an adult with one child, $2,000 for each additional child and $1,000 investment income. Volunteers are allowed to go a little above those guidelines as needed, she noted.

All information provided for the preparation of the return will be kept in the strictest confidence.

Participants are reminded to bring all their tax papers, forms, receipts and/ or summary as well as last year's assessment or reassessment.

Appointments can be booked for between 10 a.m. and noon on Thursdays, from March 22 to April 19. Call Whitbread to book an appointment at 6049401186.
