Ladner's Linda Rainbow was part of a team from Scouts Canada that spent last month in Madagascar working on an international development project.

Amanda Gilliland, 18, of Delta, washing Zazzy, a pure bred Charollais lamb, during the 4-H Festival at the Fair at the PNE. Gilliland is with the Langley 4-H Lamb and Wool Craft Club.

Astrid Hegge, 11, of Ladner, with Bambie, a 7-month-old Holstein calf, during the 4-H Festival at the Fair at the PNE. Hegge is a member of the Richmond Delta 4-H Club.

Local service club has also helped SDSS, sports groups and lends a hand for special community events

Lois Frederick celebrated her 100th birthday with family members and other residents of Mountain View Manor in Ladner on Monday. Born in Woodbridge, Ontario in 1912, she moved to B.C.
