Get in a festive mood at the Earthwise Garden at the first-ever Night Market and Garden Light Walk on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 7.
The Night Market features winter produce fresh from the Earthwise Farm, and a selection of artisan and value added products from local vendors.
Shop for gifts or goodies for your holiday festivities and then grab some hot chocolate for a wintertime garden stroll and enjoy the festive sounds of carolers.
To set a festive mood, students from South Delta Secondary will help to decorate the Earthwise Garden with holiday lights. The students are taking part in a hands-on course in sustainable agriculture offered in partnership between Earthwise Society and the Delta school district.
The students will also be taking part as volunteers and carolers for the Night Market. Funds raised through the Night Market will help support the environmental education programs at the Earthwise Farm.
Night Market vendors include Westham Island Honey & Candles, fun & trendy eco-bags, Jolene's Natural Handmade Soaps, The Portal's natural, organic and wildcrafted herbal beauty products and essential oils, fresh local baking from Retro Kitch and more.
The Night Market runs from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Red Barn at the Earthwise Garden, 6400-3rd Ave., Tsawwassen.
