The Ladner Business Association's most recent gift of $2,000 to the Delta Hospital Foundation has allowed the purchase of five blood pressure monitors.

Since 2004, the LBA has donated over $41,000 to the hospital to purchase vital equipment.

Association president Brad Cooper and vicepresident Jane Ilott recently presented the foundation with a cheque. The money was raised through the LBA's annual events: Breakfast with Santa, Quilt Walk and Classic Car Show, Christmas tree lighting and Easter parade.

"The foundation is so humbled by the Ladner Business Association's tremendous commitment to the hospital and the entire community of Delta is the benefactor," said Stacey Boyda, the foundation's individual giving manager.

"This gift is just one facet of the LBA's commitment to our community that we can see in the time and resources they dedicate to its growth."

The blood pressure machines are portable, giving better access to patients for the hospital's medical staff. By purchasing five, the LBA has given the nurse teams in the hospital's medical unit better access to patients that are less mobile.

The LBA is made up of people and businesses working together to foster a healthy environment for the business community of Ladner. Over the years, the group has developed many events, creating traditions that provide lasting memories and experiences that give back and bring people back to the community.

The Delta Hospital Foundation raises funds to provide access to the best medical services close to home. Since 1988, the foundation has raised over $23 million. Learn more at www.deltahospital.com.
