Ladner photographer Greg Schurman recently added a couple more awards to his growing collection.
The four-time B.C. Photographer of the Year winner received the Masters Award and a Judge's Choice for his image My Eye Is Up Here last month at the 2012 National Image Competition Salon of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC).
The competition was held in Halifax in late April during the Canadian Imaging Conference and Trade Show, the annual convention of the PPOC.
Schurman had three images accepted and exhibited in the National Image Competition, which was judged prior to the convention by a panel of master photographers from across the country.
The competition features entries from across Canada in a variety of different categories, including portraiture, wedding, commercial and general.

A local autobody shop was recently recognized for its customer service.
Last week, Ladner Auto Body Ltd. was named the winner of the 2011 AutocheX Premier Achiever Award for outstanding customer service.
AutocheX is a third party company that measures customer satisfaction levels for auto body shops through surveys.
Ladner Auto Body and 14 other facilities in B.C. achieved customer satisfaction scores in the top five per cent of more than 7,000 shops across North America.
The scores are based on key award criteria, such as the shop's ability to keep customers informed, provide on time deliveries and provide efficient, safe and quality repairs.

Thrifty Foods president Jim Dores recently announced the launch of a new and expanded recycling program in the company's stores in coordination with recycling partner Cascades Recovery.
Thrifty's in-store recycling program has been expanded to include metal and glass food containers, plastic yogurt and cottage cheese containers, laundry and milk jugs, medicine bottles, gardening pots and a variety of paper packing.
"For almost two decades, Cascades Recycling has been working closely with Thrifty Foods to recover discarded materials from their stores and, in turn, have those materials recycled into new products," said Al Metauro, Cascades Recovery president.
"Thrifty Foods is leading the way in the retail industry by constantly exploring and adopting new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle."

Christa Dannhauser, the new owner of Flowers Beautiful in Tsawwassen, has added original artworks by local artist Janice McLean to her store.
McLean's work is a reflection of her life's journey over the last 40 years.
Her work can also be found at the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Rendezvous Art Gallery in Vancouver, the Stephen Lowe Art Gallery in Calgary, as well as in private collections in Canada, the U.S., England and Italy.
