Salon gets total makeover

A long-standing Tsawwassen hair salon has a new lease on life with a new owner, a new name and a whole new look.

A long-standing Tsawwassen hair salon has a new lease on life with a new owner, a new name and a whole new look.

Esthetician Nav Dhaliwal had been working out of her Ladner home for more than five years when she decided to take a leap and open her own salon.

She took over a location on 56th Street in Tsawwassen and opened Locks & Lashes six months ago. The business has been a local salon for about four decades.

Dhaliwal gutted and totally renovated the space, but refurbished and kept the old hair dryer chairs.

Lock & Lashes is a full service salon. Dhaliwal has been joined by a team of experienced professionals in the industry, including hair stylists Kirsten Bennett, Kady Thompson, Alyssa Swenson and Laura Sanders, and esthetician April Cook.

The women at Locks & Lashes can offer clients a long list of services - from hair cuts and colour to waxing and threading, eyelash extensions and biosculpture nails.

Dhaliwal said her aim with Lock & Lashes is to provide the full-service salon experience at affordable prices. So far, the response from the community has been amazing, she said, and the salon has seen huge growth in its first six months.

Locks & Lashes also carries a variety of products, including a full range of evo hair and skin products.

Locks & Lashes is located at 1513-56th St. For more information call 604-943-2511, visit www. locksandlashesinc.com or look them up on Facebook at www.facebook.com/locksandlashesinc.
