For a third year in a row, the Fraser Heath Authority was last week named one of B.C.'s top employers by Mediacorp Canada Inc., which organizes the annual Canada's Top Employers competition.

The competition looks at a variety of criteria, including recruitment and retention, high employment standards and performance in several areas: physical workplace; work and social atmosphere; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.

"One of our strategic imperatives is to create a great workplace and we are very committed in our efforts to recruit, recognize and retain out staff," said Dr. Nigel Murray, president and CEO of Fraser Health.

"So it is again an honour for all of us at Fraser Health to be recognized as a B.C.

2012 Top Employer. More than any building, technology or program, it's our people that make Fraser Health distinct."
