Scotiabank helped raise $9,520 at the Delta Hospital Foundation's Delta Health Golf Classic last month. It is the second consecutive year the bank has participated in the tournament, helping raise almost $14,000 for various programs at the hospital.

Five employees from the Tsawwassen and newlyopened Ladner branches volunteered at the tournament by selling "Stay in the Game" booklets. Through Scotiabank's Bright Future program, every booklet was matched dollar for dollar by the bank.

"Our employees had such a great and successful time volunteering at last year's tournament. With Ladner's branch opening this year, we knew we could raise even more money for the hospital," said Corey Hanna, branch manager for Scotiabank-Ladner.

"This is such a great community, and the hospital is such an important piece of it. We had a great day and we are really excited about the good these funds will do for cardiac care.

This year, the 13th annual Delta Health Golf Classic raised almost $165,000 for cardiac care at Delta Hospital. This designated fund supports patients that undergo cardiac-related testing, monitoring and treatment by purchasing state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.
