Kate Spade New York Outlet will be opening in early April and the Michael Kors store is expanding

A new store opening and expansion of an existing retailer mark a pair of milestones at Tsawwassen Mills next month.

Kate Spade New York Outlet will be opening in early April, in the Fashion neighbourhood at the mall. This will be the second outlet opening for this brand in B.C.

“This store adds to a growing list of brand outlets at the centre such as Michael Kors & COACH,” said Kristina Shier, marketing/tourism director at Tsawwassen Mills. “Opening events will take place outside their new store location, inside entry 2. Since its launch in 1993 with a collection of six essential handbags, Kate Spade New York has always stood for optimistic femininity. Today, the brand is a global life and style house with handbags, ready-to-wear, jewelry, footwear, gifts, home décor and more.”

Shier said the Michael Kors store expansion will open to the public in mid-April.

“This will be their first outlet store in B.C. to feature a large selection of men’s merchandise,” she said, adding grand opening activities and deals will be taking place outside their newly expanding store, inside entry 2.

Tsawwassen Mills has also newly launched an online booking tool for the shopping shuttles servicing the centre.

“This further enhances the convenience to visit, and guarantees a seat, and makes for a worry free shopping experience,” adds Shier. “This booking service is available for all shuttle routes: Tsawwassen ferry terminal, downtown at Canada Place and Richmond from the River Rock Casino Resort.”

One of the key features to honour the traditions of the Tsawwassen First Nation was the beautiful art installations throughout the Mills.

Now guests can enjoy an enhanced experience with the new Art Walk program.

Self-guided tours are now available with a downloadable brochure on the Mills website or available upon request at guest services.

Since its October 2016 opening, Shier said the community has embraced the many events at the mall that have enhanced their visit and overall shopping experience.

“Shoppers enjoy their experience at Tsawwassen Mills and have reported they would highly recommend the shopping centre to a friend,” she said. “The many events that Tsawwassen Mills executes such as the Halloween Maze shoppers really enjoy and provide a fun reason to visit. For the guests who visited the Halloween Maze, nine out of 10 people came to the mall specifically for the event, which tells us the market is really enjoying our family-friendly events.”
