An air ambulance arrived at South Delta Secondary last Thursday afternoon to respond to a call of an injured rugby player.
The ambulance was dispatched due to regular ambulance service reportedly being stuck in a George Massey Tunnel traffic jam.
Shortly after the helicopter landed, a regular ambulance arrived to transport the player to hospital.
The teen boy hurt his leg but was not seriously injured.
