Auto shop offering free car clinic for women

South Delta Motors will be hosting its second annual Girls Tech Talk next Wednesday in Tsawwassen

As new owners of South Delta Motors, TJ and his wife Shirley Brown are excited to be holding their second annual car clinic for women next Wednesday evening.

The purpose of the Girls Tech Talk clinic is two-fold: to empower and educate female drivers and to help them find an auto repair shop they can trust.

In this busy world we live in, with self-serve gas stations at every corner, it doesn't hurt to know how to check your oil, your tire pressure or how to top up your fluids.

If you don't want to do that, then it is important to know what indicator lights on your dash are telling you and when it's "critical" to get it into the mechanic.

Women of all ages are invited to attend the workshop, from young women with their first vehicle to seniors who may have lost their spouse who typically made all the decisions in regards to the car.

The workshop promises to be extremely informative as well as fun.

There will be technicians on hand to explain the whys and hows, and to answer questions.

The free clinic is set for Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. at South Delta Motors, 5646-12th Ave., Tsawwassen. Pre-registration is required by calling 604-943-1158.
