Burns Bog in spotlight in annual fest Sunday

Tours, exhibits and performances on the schedule

Bring the family to the International Bog Day this Sunday, a unique day of entertainment and education hosted by the Burns Bog Conservation Society.

Set to run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Planet Ice parking lot, the annual festival will feature interactive exhibits, bog tours, a children's zone and performances by local entertainers.

Go on a guided bog tour

Get up-close and personal with Burns Bog by going on a guided tour. Sign up for a time slot and join one of the tours that will be running throughout the festival.

See an abandoned bear cave, fox den, sunken tractor, carnivorous plant and so much more. Can you think of a better way to celebrate the magic of International Bog Day?

Enjoy a performance by local talent

Savor diverse performances that will capture your imagination from local talent like Good Question, Five Day Weekend, Delta Blue, Born Within Rust, Surrey Sun Hang Do, Cause4Drama and Divine Hips.

Learn from engaging exhibitors

Let exhibitors like B.C. Hydro, Delta Museum, Operation Save H2O, Jolene's Natural Handmade Soaps, the Georgia Strait Alliance, Cobs Bread, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, massage therapist David Rowe, Bag Ladies on Holiday, Avon, North Delta New Balance and more open your mind.

Give the kids a day to remember

Let the kids have the time of their lives in a special tent run by the Burns Bog Conservation Society's Wetland Adventures Day Camp counsellors.
