The Business Improvement Association (BIA) of Tsawwassen and the Tsawwassen Shopping Centre will host the fourth annual Courtyard Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 3 to 5 p.m.

The event under the glass roof close to RONA kick starts the holiday season in Tsawwassen.

"We are very excited as we will be featuring five community choirs this year who will be performing beautiful Christmas carols to get us all in the spirit of the holidays," said BIA executive director Ana Arciniega.

"We will have performances by St. Andrew's Choir, SDSS Choir, Southpointe Academy Choirs, United Entertainers and the Delta Concert Band. The event is free and people are encouraged to bring a donation for the food bank."

Activities planned include a visit with Santa, who will be on hand for photos and give children a goody bag that includes a $5 Tsawwassen Shopping Dollar coupon to be used at over 50 local businesses.

The Bank of Montreal staff will offer a craft area to decorate Christmas tree ornaments that will be added to the Tsawwassen Christmas Tree. Special guest Rudy from Operation Red Nose will also pay a visit.

Guests are invited to enjoy free cookies (courtesy of Illuminate Restorante), coffee and cider (courtesy of Petra's Arts Kafé) and hot chocolate and candy canes (courtesy of 56th Street Bakery).

"We hope to offer a break from the busy shopping season and a moment to pause and enjoy the reason we celebrate at this time of the year. Come, have a bit of fun and enjoy your community and friends," added Arciniega.
