Dr. Heather Mohan, RCC, will be holding a Children's Grief Group for children 5 to 12 years old who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent or other significant person. A Parent's Grief Group, facilitated by Marg Fletcher, RCC, will be held at the same time. The groups, starting Jan. 10, run on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. every other week throughout the school year. All participants must pre-register in advance by calling Heather Mohan at the Supportive Care at 604-948-0660. If space is available, referrals will be accepted throughout the year.

Be part of this highly skilled group of men and women that provides a service to the community by performing marine search and rescue. The Canadian Cancer Society Volunteer Driver program in Ladner/Tsawwassen is in need of more volunteer drivers to take patients to and from their treatment. Training and dispatch are provided. The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society runs a number of units within our hospital that provide services to patients and their families as well as staff. We are currently looking for volunteers skillful in office work, merchandizing for the Dogwood Gift Shop, and food services to coordinate the Courtyard Cafe. Volunteer Grandparents is a non-profit organization that does valuable work in the Lower Mainland, for families and the community. Our two programs, the Family Match Program, and School Grandparent Program allow for children without the presence of seniors in their lives to appreciate and gain further understanding of other generations, and have positive elderly role models. The Ladner/Tsawwassen Kinsmen Club invites new and old members to join us, the first and third Mondays of each month at Kin House in Ladner. Join the only all-Canadian service club. The Sidekick Players is pleased to present "Visiting Mr. Green" by Jeff Baron and directed by Todd-Elliot Gates from March 8 - 24. Gates will be auditioning for the roles of Mr. Green and Ross Gardner, on January 2 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. ONE NIGHT ONLY at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre, 1172-56th St., Tsawwassen in the Sidekick Rehearsal Hall (downstairs, back door). South Delta Artists Guild new January show, Visions and Voices, featuring local high school students in collaboration with SDAG artists are featuring a unique show this month.
