The application by Delta Fresh includes a new cold storage warehouse and food processing building, at 10555 64 Ave.

An application to build a cold storage and food processing facility on farm site in East Delta has been pulled from tonight’s (Jan. 24) public hearing agenda at city hall.

The proposal by Delta Fresh was on the Tuesday, Jan. 24 agenda, but will be rescheduled for another hearing, according to the planning department.

No reason was given by the planning department for why the application was pulled from the hearing agenda.

The Delta Fresh application involves the development of two properties adjacent to the Highway 91 interchange by 104th Street.

The application proposes a building with a total floor area of approximately 293,500-square-feet. Most of the floor space would be at the ground level.

The cold storage warehouse and processing facility would be for fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

The application was originally submitted in 2020.
