North Delta:

Assault: 7600-block 114 Street - An unidentified man wielding a wrench struck the victim several times causing minor injuries to his head and arm. He was transported to hospital for stitches. This house is well known to police. The victim and any potential witnesses were uncooperative with the police. Still under investigation.

Fail To Stop: 8900-block Scott Road - Two officers observed a suspicious vehicle, occupied by a male driver and three female passengers, leaving the local liquor store. The officers initiated a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to stop for the police, and took off at a high rate of speed. The officers did not pursue. Still under investigation.

Break and Enter: 8600-block Scott Road - A thief broke into an unoccupied business suite, next to an electronics store. He then cut through the drywall into the neighbouring store where he stole a number of laptops and cell phone accessories. Still under investigation.

South Delta:

Mischief to Auto: 5300-block Chamberlayne Avenue - The complainant reported that the occupants of pickup truck had smashed her car windshield. A small truck matching the description was located in the area. It was occupied and driven by the registered owner and a friend, both 18 years of age. Investigation revealed they were responsible for the damages. The investigation is still ongoing as it is believed they may be responsible for damage to other vehicles.
